About Us
Who we are and what we're all about.
MCE is proud to extend the College’s legacy of applied learning and workforce innovation into the corporate sector, delivering exceptional value, recognized accomplishment, and transformative change.
We begin by connecting with HR leaders, Managers, or Administrators, to understand your organization’s challenges, culture, and leadership priorities.
This is the first step to the foundation of a trusted partnership.

Through discovery sessions, pre-training assessments, and a thorough needs analysis, MCE identifies skill gaps, performance trends, and opportunities for growth.
Who are your future-ready leaders? Where are the friction points? What does success look like?

No off-the-shelf content. We co-create tailored learning experiences, whether it's virtual, in-person, or blended, that reflect your environment and objectives.
From leadership essentials to specialized programs, every curriculum is practical, engaging, and built for application.

Our facilitators aren’t just trainers, they’re seasoned industry leaders who bring real-world insight into every session.
Interactive discussions, reflective activities, and scenario-based learning keep participants engaged and accountable.
"Shona is an exceptional facilitator… It is rare to feel so engaged during virtual training!”

Learning doesn’t end when the course does. We follow up to measure impact, gather feedback, and support ongoing application.
Your insights help us improve and ensure lasting change.

Leadership, for me, is about connection, collaboration, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working across both public and private sectors, building teams, shaping strategy, and guiding organizations through change. Not with a top-down mindset, but side-by-side with the incredible people doing the work.
I’ll be honest, I thrive in the middle of transformation. That’s where real growth happens. And whether it was designing performance systems that earned Gold and Silver awards from the Ministry of Education, leading innovative programs that won Profiling Excellence nods at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, or being part of a team honored with the Premier’s Team Amethyst Award for business innovation, I’ve learned that great results come from trust, shared vision, and a little creative courage.
I believe deeply in the power of teams, not just what they can achieve, but how they grow together. That’s why I’m passionate about coaching and development. I’m a certified Cognitive Coach, which means I don’t tell people what to do, rather, I help them think deeper, uncover their own solutions, and lead with confidence.
At the end of the day, I’m here to help leaders and teams unlock their best selves. Because when we lead with inclusion and intention, amazing things follow.

For those question you may have on your mind to ask Mohawk College Enterprise, frequently.
Our comprehensive portfolio includes Multi-Day Leadership Programs, Full-Day Courses, Health & Community Services, and Specialized Training.
In Multi-Day Leadership Development, our Future Ready Leadership (FRL) program stands as a flagship offering. Since 2010, we’ve successfully graduated over 1,500 leaders at all levels, from emerging to senior leaders, across diverse sectors.
Our Full-Day Courses are immersive, practical experiences that equip leaders with actionable skills for immediate impact. Focused on real-world challenges, they help individuals and organizations build capacity, strengthen culture, and lead with confidence over a single day.
In Health & Community Services, we deliver customized, high-impact training for healthcare providers, community organizations, non-profits, and emergency services.
Our Specialized Programs include industry-recognized certifications in Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention, as well as the Certification Program for Correctional Officers (FITCO).
We also offer Self-Directed Learning Options, with growing on-demand course availability to support flexible, accessible professional development.
It happens more than you’d think. You may be sure you know what training you need, but a proper needs analysis can uncover the real pain points you might have missed.
Our Business Development Officers and Instructional Designers work together to dig deeper, listen closely, and identify gaps you may not have considered.
We’ll partner with you to explore your goals, confirm priorities, and design a tailored program that delivers results that will exceed expectations for both leadership and participants.
Your Business Development Officer (BDO) is your dedicated training partner and one-on-one expert, focused entirely on your organization’s growth. Share your challenges, goals, or even just an idea, and we’ll help you turn it into a powerful learning solution(s).
We’re fully committed to supporting you every step of the way. From initial conversation to final delivery, our BDOs listen deeply, tailor recommendations, and ensure you have everything you need to feel proud of the impact it creates.
And yes, we can help unlock funding opportunities too.
While we’re proud to be part of the Mohawk College community, MCE operates as its dedicated provider of corporate leadership training.
That means, as a general rule, our participants don’t receive Mohawk College certificates, since most of our programs are MCE originals, custom-built by us, for immediate impact.
Instead, you’ll earn an 'MCE Certificate of Completion'. A badge of honor that says, “I upskilled, I leveled up, and yes, I did it with MCE."
And we have a lot of upskilled options. The learning is there to take advantage of.
