About

Hi, I'm April Morganti, President & CEO of Mohawk College Enterprise

Leadership, for me, is about connection, collaboration, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working across both public and private sectors, building teams, shaping strategy, and guiding organizations through change. Not with a top-down mindset, but side-by-side with the incredible people doing the work.

I’ll be honest, I thrive in the middle of transformation. That’s where real growth happens. And whether it was designing performance systems that earned Gold and Silver awards from the Ministry of Education, leading innovative programs that won Profiling Excellence nods at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, or being part of a team honored with the Premier’s Team Amethyst Award for business innovation, I’ve learned that great results come from trust, shared vision, and a little creative courage.

I believe deeply in the power of teams, not just what they can achieve, but how they grow together. That’s why I’m passionate about coaching and development. I’m a certified Cognitive Coach, which means I don’t tell people what to do, rather, I help them think deeper, uncover their own solutions, and lead with confidence.

At the end of the day, I’m here to help leaders and teams unlock their best selves. Because when we lead with inclusion and intention, amazing things follow.

Explain your leadership portfolio in short.

We also offer Self-Directed Learning Options, with growing on-demand course availability to support flexible, accessible professional development.

I want something customized that is not listed on your website, or I want a bunch of different training subjects bundled together.

Pause.

This happens sometimes. You may think you know what you need or want. However, we suggest you, at least, undergo a needs analysis to uncover your 'pain points'.

We have Business Development Officers and Instructional Designers who work hand-in-hand to uncover the training needs you may have overlooked or not thought of.

We can sit down with you, listen, explore, suggest, confirm, and write, a training design that works for you, and not against you.

We take the time to listen, tailor content, and deliver an experience that will surpass the expectations of management and those participants enrolled.

It's hard to commit to a price. I don't know if I can get funding approved for training. Help!

Know this acronym. BDO.

Stands for Business Development Officer. Your dedicated, one-to-one, training development expert.

Reach out. State your challenge(s). We are 100% available and committed to seeing you through the betterment of yourself and your organization.

We work hard to please. We spend a lot of time talking to you and ensuring that you have what you need to approve training and be proud of what you can show you accomplished. Our BDO's are your personal assistants. Take advantage of this service.

Oh, and we have sources that can help you with funding. Visit our 'About Us' page for more.

Do I get a Mohawk College credit?

While we’re proud to be part of the Mohawk College community, MCE operates as its dedicated corporate of learning.

That means, as a general rule, our participants don’t receive Mohawk College certificates, since most of our programs are MCE originals, custom-built by us, for immediate impact.

Instead, you’ll earn a 'MCE Certificate of Completion'. A badge of honor that says, “I upskilled, I leveled up, and yes, I did it with MCE."

And we have a lot of upskilled options. The learning is there to take advantage of.
