The “Emotional Intelligence” training course offered by Mohawk College Enterprise utilizes brain-based research to explore Emotional Intelligence and its implications.

Participants will evaluate their current emotions and feelings and their impact on their personal and professional lives.

They will apply proven neuroscience perspectives, such as neuroplasticity and mirror neurons to improve their emotional competencies and further excel in their career.

Learning Outcomes

    Develop Emotional Intelligence skills through the lens of Daniel Goleman’s Four Domains.

  • The Business Case for Emotional Intelligence

    There is a direct correlation between increased job performance when employees are high in EQ.

  • Emotional Intelligence Competencies

    Match the principles of Emotional Intelligence to key leadership competencies.

  • Emotional Intelligence Skills

    Self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.

  • When/How to Apply Emotional Intelligence

    Apply Emotional Intelligence to develop personal and team leadership resulting in an increase in organizational effectiveness.

Lesley is a Certified Emotional Intelligence subject expert, with almost 2 decades of experience in Leadership and Engagement programming as an Administrator in Higher Education, she prides herself on identifying and fostering, action-forward, self-awareness, and applied leadership skills in individuals and teams.
